Hand check · on-device
A 90-second dexterity screen
Three short tasks — finger taps, opening and closing your hand, and touching your thumb to each fingertip. Your camera stays on your device. We measure rate and rhythm only, and we never store video or landmarks.
This is observational data to share with your clinician. It is not a diagnosis and it does not replace a hand assessment.
Before the camera starts
You'll be asked to allow camera access. The video feed never leaves your device — only per-frame finger angles are used to count taps and cycles.
- Sit at a desk or table with good lighting.
- Hold your hand 30–50 cm from the camera, palm facing you.
- If anything hurts, stop. Don't push for a higher score.
Confirm none of these are true right now:
- Sudden new severe pain or swelling
- Numbness, tingling, or color change in your hand
- Recent surgery without your surgical team's clearance to move
